Introduction to digital investigation
Since
Index passes on its tools to those who can put them to use: students, journalists, activists, grassroots collectives. Since 2023, a two-part introductory programme in digital investigation – audiovisual analysis and 3D modelling – has brought together more than 150 participants.
This work goes wherever the tools are missing: to the premises of activist collectives, to universities, cultural centres, and schools of art and architecture. Since 2023, it has mainly taken the form of a two-part introductory programme in digital investigation – audiovisual analysis and 3D modelling – supported by the Guerrilla Foundation, which more than 150 people have attended online and in person.
In 2025, these workshops were held in particular at La Fémis, as part of the SACRe doctoral seminar (February), at the Triangle-Astérides art centre in Marseille (May), and at the Fête de l’Humanité (September), where Index publicly demonstrated the use of virtual reality for 3D investigations.
