Three officers from the night-time anti-crime unit (BAC) in Noisiel, Seine-et-Marne, have been ordered to stand trial and placed under judicial supervision, following an inquiry by the IGPN, the police’s internal affairs body.
The events, which date back to 16 March 2026, were filmed by several witnesses whose videos circulated widely on social media: they show two people being beaten on the ground by police officers during an operation in the centre of Noisiel. One of them, aged 15, was hit by a rubber projectile fired from an LBD 40 launcher. Both filed complaints in the days that followed.
The IGPN inquiry, conducted with the Meaux prosecutor’s office, led to the four officers involved being taken into custody. After they were questioned, the prosecutor decided to send three of them to trial, with the hearing set for September 2026.
